Guided Meditation
When You’re Looking for a Sign
A gentle meditation for trusting your intuition, noticing the quiet signs around you and feeling guided again.
Most of us know the feeling of wanting a sign. A nudge. Some small confirmation that we’re heading the right way.
And guidance rarely arrives the way we expect it to. It’s usually quieter than that. A word that lands at exactly the right moment. A feeling you can’t quite explain. The sense that something is asking for your attention, even if you can’t yet say what.
This meditation isn’t about forcing answers or reading meaning into everything. It’s about softening enough to notice what’s already there, and beginning to trust the difference between fear and a genuine, quiet yes.
When you’re ready, press play and let yourself settle. There’s nothing you need to work out right now. You’re simply making a little room to listen.

What You’ll Experience
Trust that you already know more than you think.
So much of feeling lost comes from noise. The endless weighing up, the second-guessing, the search for certainty before we’re willing to move. This meditation gently quietens some of that. Rather than handing you an answer, it helps you settle enough to notice the one that’s often already there, waiting underneath the worry.
Soften the Noise
Ease the mental chatter and overthinking so you can hear your own thinking again.
Fear or Intuition?
Begin to notice the difference between an anxious push and a steady, quiet yes.
Notice the Small Signs
Pay attention to the gentle nudges you usually talk yourself out of.
Trust Your Own Timing
Let go of needing to be certain before you allow yourself to take the next small step.
Gentle Reflection
After listening, you might like to sit with these questions.
There’s no need to answer them all. Grab a pen if you have a moment, choose the one that catches you, and let your thoughts wander from there.
1. Where in my life am I already sensing an answer, even though I keep talking myself out of it?
2. When have I felt genuinely guided before? What did that quiet yes actually feel like?
3. If I trusted myself a little more today, what’s one small thing I’d do differently?

Sometimes a meditation isn’t the end of the conversation.
Sometimes it’s the start of one. If today’s meditation has left you feeling more open or curious, you might enjoy Book Quote Therapy, my literary companion site where books, poems, quotations and Literary Prescriptions are gathered for different seasons of life.
For this meditation, I’d point you towards these Literary Prescriptions:
Trust : for moving before you can see the whole path.
Uncertainty : for the not-knowing you have to sit in for a while.
Quiet : for hearing your own answer under all the noise.
All gentle reminders that guidance tends to arrive one small step at a time.
