Guided Meditation
Solid Ground Beneath the Feeling
When anxiety or overwhelm starts to rise, grounding helps your body find its way back to steady.
Not by fighting the feeling. That rarely works, and it tends to make the whole thing louder. This works the other way round: slowly building a sense of solid ground underneath it, until there’s something to stand on again.
The meditation guides you back into the present through slow breathing and grounded awareness, layer by layer, until stability and calm strength return. It doesn’t ask you to talk yourself out of anything.
This premium edition carries two extra layers beneath the music. Subtle binaural beats, and subliminal affirmations sitting below the spoken words. So while the meditation settles your conscious mind, the quieter layer keeps reinforcing safety and stability underneath.

One gentle note: there’s no need to set anything down all at once. Return to this whenever the weight builds up again, and let yourself unburden piece by piece, at your own pace.
What You’ll Experience
Something solid to stand on.
Grounding works on the body first and the thinking second, which is why it helps when reasoning with yourself hasn’t. Slow breathing, attention brought down into the body, and a steady return to what is actually here rather than what might happen next.
Come Back to the Body
Attention brought down out of the spinning and into something physical.
Settle Your Nervous System
Slow, steady breathing that helps the alarm quieten of its own accord.
Two Quiet Layers
Binaural beats and subliminal affirmations working beneath the spoken words.
Steady, Not Braced
Come away feeling supported rather than holding yourself together.
The affirmations beneath the music
- I am steady in my body.
- I am safe and supported where I stand.
- I am centred and unshaken.
- I am rooted in calm strength.
- I am anchored in stability.
- I am calm and unwavering.
Gentle Reflection
After listening, you might like to sit with these questions.
No need to answer them all. Choose the one that lands, and be gentle with yourself.
1. Where in my body do I notice it first when things start to rise?
2. What is actually here right now, rather than what might happen later?
3. What helps me feel supported, and how easily could I reach for it?

Sometimes a meditation isn’t the end of the conversation.

Meditation Didn’t Take My Pain Away. It Changed My Relationship With It.
What meditation genuinely does for healing, and what it doesn’t.
Sometimes it’s the start of one. If today’s meditation has left you feeling more open or curious, you might enjoy Book Quote Therapy, my literary companion site where books, poems, quotations and Literary Prescriptions are gathered for different seasons of life.
For this meditation, I’d point you towards these Literary Prescriptions:
Anxiety : for the days it arrives without an invitation.
Overwhelm : for when there is simply too much of everything.
Panic Attacks : for the moments that come on fast.
All gentle companions for the times you need room to breathe again.
