Guided Meditation

Held Through the Night

A long, gentle Yoga Nidra with brief guidance that fades into eight hours of soft, steady sleep music.

This is a long, gentle Yoga Nidra, created to hold you through the whole night. The spoken guidance is intentionally brief, just over twelve minutes, offering a soft landing into rest before fading away and letting the music carry on.

From there, nothing more is asked of you. You don’t need to stay aware. You don’t need to follow along. Sleep is welcome at any point. The music was written specifically for sleep and deep rest, continuing quietly for the full eight hours, tuned to 432Hz and layered with delta-wave binaural beats often associated with deep relaxation.

It was made for nights when the body is tired but the mind won’t switch off, when emotions feel close to the surface, or when you simply want to feel held rather than guided. There’s nothing to do here. Just lie down, get comfortable, and let the night take over.

When you’re ready, settle into bed, get comfortable, and press play. There’s nothing to do and nothing to follow. Just let yourself be held through the night.

One gentle note: meditation works best as a regular practice, not a one-off. A few minutes most days will do far more than an occasional longer session, so if it helps, let this become a small part of your daily rhythm.

What You’ll Experience

Let yourself be held, all night long.

Some nights you don’t want to be guided, you just want to be held. This practice gives you a soft landing into rest, then steps back entirely, letting steady, unobtrusive music support you through the whole night without asking anything of you.

A Soft Landing

Ease into rest with just over twelve minutes of gentle guidance.

Music Made for Sleep

Drift on eight hours of 432Hz music and delta-wave beats.

Nothing to Follow

Once you’re settled, there’s nothing to do but sleep.

Held All Night

Let steady, unobtrusive sound hold you through to morning.

Letting the Night Take Over

Nothing more is asked of you now.

Once you’re settled, you can stop paying attention entirely.

The music will hold you, whether you’re awake or asleep.

There’s nowhere to be and nothing to follow. Just let the night take over.

When this meditation may help

Come back on the nights you need to be held through to morning.

Some nights need more than a short wind-down. This one is here for the long, hard nights, a steady presence to see you through whenever you need uninterrupted rest.

When your mind won’t switch off

Your body’s tired but your thoughts keep going.

During exhaustion

You’re worn out and need a long, uninterrupted space to rest.

When emotions feel close

You’d rather be held gently than guided or analysed.

For a full night’s rest

You want steady sound to support you all the way to morning.

Continue the Reflection

Sometimes a meditation isn’t the end of the conversation.

Sometimes it’s the start of one. If today’s meditation has left you feeling more open or curious, you might enjoy Book Quote Therapy, my literary companion site where books, poems, quotations and Literary Prescriptions are gathered for different seasons of life.

For this meditation, I’d point you towards these Literary Prescriptions:

Rest : for a long, uninterrupted night of rest.

Exhaustion : for the nights you’re truly worn out.

Overthinking : for when the body’s tired but the mind won’t stop.

All gentle reminders that some nights, you just need to be held.
